Freight Policy - Fireside Distributors

When ordering $1,700.00 net of products from Fireside that are stocked in our Raleigh warehouse, the order and any of its backorders shipped from Raleigh will be sent prepaid (Free freight). (If the NY warehouse has any of the backordered items in stock and ships them, that freight will also be prepaid.)

  • UNDER $1700 ORDERS

When ordering Less than $1700, there will be a $75 per pallet shipping fee, unless the item can be shipped as a small package (see below).

We have contracts with various freight carriers, and will ship your order with the carrier of our                choice.  If you need to request a specific freight carrier, you will be charged 7.5% of your total invoice amount for freight charges, regardless if your order has met the $1700 minimum for free freight.

We ship by FedEx and UPS. You will be billed at 4% of the Invoice value.

Rates for delivery to Residential addresses are higher than to commercial addresses. Add $5.00 per shipment for additional shipping charge and extra handling/processing.

All shipments directly sent to your customers will be charged the actual freight charges regardless of the order total.

Full Shipping charges for all non-stocked products that are drop shipped from our vendors will be billed on your invoice.

Return Policy

Pre-authorization must be granted prior to the return of any product.  Returns of new, unopened product in re-sellable condition will be charged a 25% restocking fee.  All products returned are subject to inspection upon return.  The Customer will be responsible for any freight fees on the return.  Products older than six months, or discontinued by the manufacturer, will not be accepted.

Freight Claims

Take the time to inspect all shipments at the time of delivery.  You are responsible for all products that you sign for!  Any shortages, damages, etc., must be noted on the Freight Bill and reported to the carrier and to the shipping location (BAC or Fireside) immediately.  Put all notes on the Bill of Lading.  Hidden damage or shortages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
